ELPH Scholar Presents at Symposium on Minorities, the Medical Underserved and Cancer

would like to congratulate Yussif Dokurugu, MA, MPH for the acceptance
of his abstract to present at the 10th Biennial Symposium
on Minorities, the Medical Underserved and Cancer in Washington,
D.C. on April 21, 2006.
Dokurugu, coordinator for the Prostate Cancer Research Project at Florida A&M University presented on "Model of Prostate Cancer Screening for African Americans."
Mr. Dokurugu's research interests include cancer epidemiology and control in minority communities, his primary interest is prostate cancer incidence, morbidity and mortality in Florida. Mr. Dokurugu's research projects include the analysis of prostate cancer prevention behavior in Florida. He is currently working with Dr. Folakemi Odedina in the development and validation of a model of prostate cancer screening in African American men. Read Yussif Dokurugu's abstract here.
