At the Native Wellness Institute North American Native Wellness Gathering, March 14–17, 2006 in Reno, NV, LaFromboise presented on suicide prevention and conducted a QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) gatekeeper training session. 

At Advancing the National Health Promotion and Education Agenda Effective Policies and Practices: 24th National DHPE/CDC Conference on Health Promotion and Education, May 23-26, 2006, in Washington, DC, she presented "A non-traditional partnership between Yellowstone City-County Health Department and Montana Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council: Addressing innovative solutions to health disparities in Indian Country."

Vickie 's life and work experiences up to now have inspired her to become a zealous and devoted American Indian advocate, even though she has lived off the reservation for most of her life. For the past ten years, her educational and professional goals have been dedicated to diminishing health disparities among both urban and reservation-based American Indians.
